INGREDIENTS

  • 250 gms ( 1 ¾  cup) white sesame seeds ( unpolished) 

  • ½ cup roasted and peeled peanuts 

  • 1tsp cardamom powder 

  • 2tbsp milk powder

  • 1tbsp water 

  • 250-300gms (1 ¾ cups)of jaggery ( finely chopped) 

  • 2tbsp ghee

  • Pistachio to sprinkle for garnish

INSTRUCTIONS 

  • dry roast sesame seeds in a pan on low flame( at least 5-6 mins)  until crisp 

  • Cool 

  • Grind together sesame seeds and peanuts on pulse mode ( not continuously)

Add cardamom powder and milk powder

  • Mix well and keep aside 

  • In a kadhai add water and add jaggery to it 

  • On low flame melt the jaggery 

  • Add ghee 

  • Cook on low flame stirring continuously

Once bubbles are formed continue cooking for another 3-4 mins 

  • Add the sesame mix to it 

  • Mix

Pour on a greased butter paper and knead it ( while still hot) for 4-5 mins

Now form a square shape and roll it out with a rolling pin ( thick.. ½ inch )

Cut into shapes and garnish with chopped pistachio

Let it set for 1hour 

  • Enjoy this perfect soft Til and Gud Gajak
