NO COCONUT Spicy GINGER CHUTNEY Andhra style ALLAM Pachadi
INGREDIENTS
1 tbsp oil
2 tbsp chana dal
1.5 tbsp urad dal
4-6 dry red chillies
1.5-inch ginger, sliced
2 garlic cloves
½ tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp coriander seeds
¼ tsp methi seeds
1 tbsp jaggery
1 tbsp tamarind extract
Salt
INSTRUCTIONS
heat oil in a pan
Add urad dal, coriander seeds, cumin seeds, methi and chana dal
Sauté over medium flame until golden brown
Add the dry red chillies and continue to sauté for 1 minute
Remove and keep aside
In the same pan add ginger, garlic and continue to fry
Add tamarind and fry for a minute
Switch off the flame and let it cool
Transfer into a blender jar and grind everything together with salt and jaggery to a smooth paste. Add water as needed
That’s it, Ginger chutney is ready
Temper with mustard, curry leaves, urad dal, red chillies and hing
Your delicious no coconut Spicy Ginger chutney is ready to be served
Serve with idlis,Dosa,uttapam,pesaruttu,
