DELHI STYLE MATAR KULCHA
INGREDIENTS FOR MATAR
1 cup white peas, soaked overnight and boiled with turmeric, salt and little julienned ginger
2 tbsp Ghee
½ tsp hing
1 tsp cumin seeds
2-3 green chillies, chopped
2 onions
1tomatoes, chopped
½ tsp turmeric powder
1 tbsp coriander powder
1 tsp cumin powder
Chat Masala
1 tsp Kasuri methi
Coriander leaves for garnish
Salt to taste
Julienned ginger and green chillies
Tamarind paste
Lemon juice
INSTRUCTIONS
heat ghee in a pan
Add cumin seeds, green chillies,ginger-garlic paste, onions and sauté until golden
Add tomatoes and fry
Add all powdered masalas and fry for a min
Add the boiled white peas
Simmer for 4-5 minutes
Add tamarind paste/lemon juice
That’s it, your easy and delicious Matar is ready
Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with Kulche
