CORNFLAKES CHIWDA indian vegan recipesIndian RecipesVegetarian recipesTea time snackAppetizers 3 Oct Written By Shilpa Anand INGREDIENTS FOR CHIWDA 250 gms peanuts¼ dry coconut, thin slices400 gms maize poha1tsp Oil2tsp fennel seeds 1tbsp Dry Coriander seeds6-10 green chillies, cut 5-6 sprigs of curry leaves 75-100 gms of powdered sugar INGREDIENTS FOR MASALA 1tbsp Shilpas masala mill Kashmiri red chilli powder 1tbsp chaat masala1tbsp dried mango powder1tbsp coriander powder1.5 tsp salt 1tbsp turmeric powder INSTRUCTIONSMIX all the dry masalas in a bowl. keep aside for use later Deep fry the maize poha Add the masala mix to it while still hot Heat oil in a pan Shallow fry peanuts on low medium flame until peanuts get crunchy. add some of the dry masala to it too while it’s still hot In the same oil fry the dried coconut slices until golden. remove and keep aside Now reduce the oil in the pan( around 1 tbsp) and fry chillies, fennel and coriander seeds. roast for 4-5 mins until green chilli gets crispy Add curry leaves and fry for few more mins Add everything to the cornflakes Add peanuts and coconut Add powdered sugar and any of the remaining masala Mix gently That’s it, enjoy this easy and delicious Cornflakes CHIWDA with chai.
