MANGO MASTANI

Mango Mastani ( Pune style )
This is a popular Mango drink sold in Pune.
Basically similar to mango milkshake with a few differences.
Some people say , Mastani Drink is named after Queen Mastani , wife/ lover of Peshwa Ruler Bajirao.
Here I have used Thai Mango as Alphonso mango wasnt available.. hence the colour is not as bright orange as it should be.
Nevertheless Delicious

Mango Mastani 

INGREDIENTS:

• 2 fully ripe Alfonso Mangoes( can use canned mango puree)

• ½ cup  Cream

• ¼ cup  milk 

• 2 tbsp Sugar( or according to taste) 

• 3-4 scoops of Vanilla or mango ice cream

• Chopped pistachios and almonds for garnish

• Few cubes of mango for garnish

INSTRUCTIONS

• Peel and chop mangoes into small pieces

• Add them to a blender 

• Blend to make a smooth purée( do not add any water)

• Now add sugar 

• Add cream and milk 

• Blend everything together

• The consistency should be thick like a milkshake . You can adjust with more milk if needed

• Now add 1- 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream into the blender 

• Blend for 10 sec

• Your silky smooth, creamy delicious Mango Mastani is ready 

• Serve immediately

SERVE

• Pour mango Mastani in a tall glass

• Add a scoop of ice cream 

• Top off with few mango pieces and chopped nuts

• Add a dollop of fresh cream 

• Enjoy
