VALACHE BIRDE - FIELD BEANS CURRY April 22, 2021 Shilpa Anand INGREDIENTS for green masala ½ cup coconut 4-5 garlic cloves1-2 green chillies½ inch ginger Small cinnamon stick 2-3 clovesCoriander ( small bunch ) INSTRUCTIONS grind together to form paste OTHER INGREDIENTS 1 cup vaal , soaked, sprouted and de skinned 1Onion , chopped1tomato, chopped half 1-2 tbsp Chilli powder ½ tbsp Shilpa’s Masala Mill Special Garam masala ½ tsp turmeric powder ¼ tsp hing 1tsp Cumin seedsSalt to taste Oil Coriander for garnish (Note: You may substitute garam masala + chilli powder with Shilpa’s Masala Mill Everyday Masala)INSTRUCTIONS Heat oil in kadhaiAdd jeera, onion and fry for few mins Add little tomato , chilli powder, turmeric and coriander leaves Fry for 2-3 mins Add the Vaal and mix it well Add green masala,garam masala and salt Add hot water and cover and simmer for 10 -15 mins until vaal is tender Add halved tomato and lemon juice and switch off gas Garnish with coriander leavesYour healthy and delicious Vaalache birde is ready Enjoy hot with rice I’ve served it with salad and flower chi bhaji SPICE LEVEL: 🌶
