SPROUTED MOTH BEANS CURRY - MATKI CHA RASSA

INGREDIENTS 

  • 1cup Matki, soaked  and sprouted

Oil 

  • Turmeric

  • Jeera

  • Onion, roasted and charred on gas

Ginger garlic paste 

  • Red chilli powder 

  • Salt 

  • Shilpa’s Masala Mill Special Garam masala 

  • Kala masala (Shilpa’s Masala Mill Special Goda Masala)

  • 2-3 tbsp Dry coconut 

  • Curry leaves 

  • 1tbsp roasted Chana powder 

INSTRUCTIONS 

  • heat oil in kadhai 

  • Add jeera and turmeric. Add Matki and water and cook it until 60 % done

Heat little oil and roast onion, coconut until brown 

  • Switch off flame and Add chilli powder and ginger garlic paste

Cool and grind everything with curry leaves to smooth paste

Heat oil in kadhai 

  • Add the paste 

  • Add kala masala 

  • Add garam masala and salt 

Add hot water and keep frying until water dries out 

  • Add Matki and cook on slow flame for 10 mins

Add roasted Chana powder dissolved with hot water to thicken the gravy 

  • Cook for another 5-10 mins 

  • That’s it 

  • Zhanzhanit Matki Cha Rassa is ready 

  • Serve garnished with coriander

Enjoy with bhakris , chapatis and rice
