UBE LOAF CAKE

INGREDIENTS for cake 

  • 1cup cake flour sieved

  • ½ -¾ cup sugar

  • ⅓ cup whole milk

  • ⅓ cup oil

  • ¼ cup ube halaya 

  • 2eggs

  • 2tsp ube extract 

  • ½ tsp salt 

  • 1tsp baking powder 

INSTRUCTIONS

  • PREHEAT OVEN TO 180 c

  • Mix everything together ( do not overmix)

Grease a 9-inch loaf cake pan and pour the batter in it

 Bake for 40-45 mins or until a toothpick inserted in the centre comes out clean

Remove from oven and let it cool down completely 

INGREDIENTS FOR TOPPING 

  • 3-4 tbsp sugar

  • 3tbsp milk powder

  • 1tbsp cornstarch

  • 1cup milk

  • 2drops ube extract 

  • 1tbsp butter

INSTRUCTIONS

  • mix everything except butter in a pan

Heat up the mix on low stirring it frequently 

  • Mixture should thicken

Remove from fire and add butter

  • Mix well

  • Let it cool down completely 

LETS ASSEMBLE 

  • Pour the topping sauce over the Ube Loaf cake

Spread it around well

Cut into thick slices and enjoy
