PISTA KAJU LAUJ

INGREDIENTS

  • 150 gms pistachios ( soaked overnight and peeled)

100 gms cashew nuts

  • 200 gms sugar powder 

  • 50 gms milk powder 

  • Silver varkh ( optional) 

  • 1.5 tbsp ghee 

INSTRUCTIONS 

  • Grind the cashew nuts to a coarse powder

Grind pistachios to a coarse paste

Heat ghee in a pan 

  • Add pistachio paste and fry for 1-2 mins 

  • Add powdered sugar

  • Bhunao the mix for few mins 

  • Now add cashew powder 

  • Add milk powder

Bhunao well until ghee leaves sides 

  • Add color if desired 

  • Cook until a ball forms easily in between your fingers

Switch off gas and keep stirring until it dries out completely 

  • Now transfer the mix/ dough to a greased surface 

  • Roll it out with a rolling pin to desired size

Cool completely and add silver varkh 

  • cut into square shapes
