JAPANESE WANPAKU SANDWICH

THIS GIGANTIC SANDWICH STUFFED WITH COLOURFUL VEGETABLES AND PROTEIN SURELY TAKES SIMPLE SANDWICHES TO A WHOLE NEW LEVEL OF BEAUTY AND TASTE.

INGREDIENTS 

  • 1 carrot, finely julienned

  • 1cucumber thinly sliced

  • 5-6 leaves of lettuce

  • 3 boiled eggs 

  • ½ chicken breast ( halved) 

  • 1cup thinly sliced purple  cabbage

  • 1 tomato thinly sliced

  • Lemon juice

  • Mayonnaise

  • Salt

  • Sugar

  • Black pepper

  • Soya sauce 

  • Garlic powder 

  • 2large, thick bread slices 

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • slice cucumbers and pat dry

  • Slice tomatoes and pat dry

  • Julienne carrots. Add salt, sugar, lemon juice, pepper, and little oil. Mix well

  • Thinly slice purple cabbage. Add lemon juice, salt, sugar, and pepper. Mix well 

  • Marinate chicken breast in garlic powder, soya sauce, black pepper, and oil.Dip in the beaten egg mixture and bread crumbs. Shallow fry until cooked and golden.

  • Chop up two boiled eggs. Add mayonnaise, mustard, sugar, salt, and pepper. Mix well

CONSTRUCT THE SANDWICH 

  • put mayonnaise on a slice of bread

  • Place the bread slice on a butter paper or nonstick cooking paper or cling wrap. This will help you to wrap the sandwich when it’s constructed

  • Place lettuce leaves on it

  • Next place tomatoes

  • Then place the cucumbers

  • The fried chicken goes next

  • Add the egg mayonnaise layer next

  • Place the whole boiled egg in the center

  • Top that with carrots

  • And lastly, put the purple cabbage

  • Close sandwich with another slice of bread with mayonnaise 

  • Fold up the edges of the nonstick cooking paper tuck the sides in to hold the sandwich firmly

  • Now cut the sandwich over the paper in the center 

  • Your Gigantic Wanpaku sandwich is ready
