MURGH MALAI KALI MIRCH

CHICKEN IN CREAMY BLACK PEPPER SAUCE 

INGREDIENTS for chicken marination 

  • 500 gms chicken boneless 

  • 1-2 tsp lemon juice 

  • 1tbsp ginger garlic paste 

  • 2-3 tsp black pepper powder 

  • ½ cup yogurt 

  • Salt to taste 

INSTRUCTIONS 

  • combine everything and leave aside to marinate for 45 mins - 60 mins 

INGREDIENTS FOR GRAVY 

  • 1-2 green chillies, slit 

  • Small piece of ginger, chopped

  • 1-2 onions, chopped

  • 1tsp garam masala powder 

  • 1tsp roasted kasoori Methi 

  • ¼ cup cashew nut paste or fresh cream 

  • Coriander leaves, chopped

  • Oil

  • Butter

INSTRUCTIONS 

  • heat oil and butter and add green chilly and ginger 

  • Sauté for 1-2 mins and then add onions 

  • Fry only until onions turn translucent

  • Add garam masala powder 

  • Add chicken and fry for 3-4 mins 

  • Cover and cook on low med flame for around 10 mins 

  • Then open lid and cook chicken on high flame until liquid evaporates and oil separates on surface 

  • Now add cream and Kasoori Methi powder

  • Adjust seasoning and spice ( can add more black pepper if required) 

  • Cook for few more mins and that’s it, your delicious Murgh Malai Kali Mirch is ready

Enjoy hot with roti, paratha or rice
