DAHI SANDWICH

Chai Time ( tea Time )
Vegetarian Dahi ( hung curd ) Sandwiches
Kulhad Masala Chai ( made with my special homemade tea masala )

INGREDIENTS:

  • ½ cup Hung curd( thick yoghurt)

  • 1tbsp carrot, grated

  • 2 tbsp cabbage , chopped

  • 1 tbsp onion , chopped

  • 1 tbsp capsicum , chopped

  • 1 tbsp red bell pepper , chopped

  • 2-3 tbsp coriander , chopped

  • 1 green chili, chopped ( optional)

  • 1 tsp red chilli flakes

  • ¼ tsp chaat masala 

  • 4 slices of bread

  • 3-4 tbsp green  chutney 

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • In a bowl mix together all the ingredients

  • Heat a tavaa or skillet

  • Lightly butter the bread on one side only  and toast it ( butter side down ) until golden and crisp 

  • Remove and keep aside 

  • Now apply generous amount of chutney to the toasted golden side of the bread

  • Put the prepared  dahi mixture onto the chutney

  • Put the prepared  dahi mixture onto the chutney

  • Close the sandwich with the other bread

  • Now lightly butter one side of sandwich 

  • Heat up tavaa or skillet again

  • Place sandwich ( buttered side down ) onto the tavaa and toast the sandwich until golden and crispy

  • Lightly butter the top of sandwich and flip 

  • Toast the other side as well

  • Remove from tavaa and repeat for the other sandwich

  • Your healthy and tasty dahi sandwich is ready 

  • Enjoy with kulhad Masala chai
