1bunch( 2bowls)  spinach, washed and chopped 2tbsp chana dal, soaked for 30 mins4 tbsp tuvar dal, soaked for 30 mins1tomato2tbsp peanuts ( more if you like) Little Turmeric powder and saltINGREDIENTS FOR TADKA

  • 2tbsp chana dal, soaked for 30 mins

  • 4 tbsp tuvar dal, soaked for 30 mins

  • 1tomato

  • 2tbsp peanuts ( more if you like) 

  • Little Turmeric powder and salt

INGREDIENTS FOR TADKA

oilMustardCuminHing2 tsp Green chilli and garlic paste ½ onion( optional)chopped Turmeric powder2 tsp Besan 1tsp peanut powder Little jaggerySalt as needed Tamarind if needed INSTRUCTIONS pressure cook all the ingredients together
  • oil

  • Mustard

  • Cumin

  • Hing

  • 2 tsp Green chilli and garlic paste 

  • ½ onion( optional)chopped 

  • Turmeric powder

  • 2 tsp Besan 

  • 1tsp peanut powder 

  • Little jaggery

  • Salt as needed 

  • Tamarind if needed 

INSTRUCTIONS 

  • pressure cook all the ingredients together

When cooled, mash it all up

Now in a kadhai, heat oil 

  • Add mustard, cumin, hing

Add the curry leaves, chilli and garlic paste and onion. fry  for few minutes

  • Add besan and peanut powder and fry for 1-2 minutes 

  • Add the mashed daal

Add  jaggery, salt and tamarind

  • Adjust consistency and simmer it for few minutes 

  • That’s it, your nutritious Palak Gargatta is ready
