GAVRAN HIRVYA MATKICHI USAL (village style sprouted moth beans)
INGREDIENTS FOR GREEN MASALA
½ fresh coconut ,sliced
Bunch of coriander leaves with stems
5-6 garlic
½ inch ginger
Few curry leaves
½ tsp cumin seeds
2-3 tsp roasted peanuts
7-8 green chillies
INSTRUCTIONS
Blend all above ingredients to paste form adding water
OTHER INGREDIENTS
250-300 gms matki , sprouted
Oil
½ tsp cumin seeds
Few Curry leaves
Pinch of hing
1onion, chopped
¼ tsp turmeric powder
½ tsp Kasuri methi
Coriander leaves, chopped
1tsp coriander powder
½ tsp garam masala powder
Salt to taste
¼ tsp Sugar ( optional)
Half tomato, chopped
INSTRUCTIONS
add oil to the pan
Add cumin, curry leaves and hing
Add onion and fry until brown in colour
Add turmeric powder and the ground paste
Fry the masala until oil separates on sides( keep stirring)
Add Kasuri methi and coriander leaves
Add coriander powder, garam masala and salt
Fry well
Add matki and enough water to cook the sprouts
Add tomato
Cook on med flame for around 10- 12 mins
