DELHI STYLE MATAR KULCHA

INGREDIENTS FOR MATAR

1 cup white peas, soaked overnight and boiled with turmeric, salt and little julienned  ginger 

  • 1 tsp Kasuri methi 

  • Coriander leaves for garnish 

  • Salt to taste 

  • Julienned ginger and green chillies 

  • Tamarind paste 

  • Lemon juice 

INSTRUCTIONS 

  • heat ghee in a pan 

  • Add cumin seeds, green chillies,ginger-garlic paste, onions and sauté until golden 

  • Add tomatoes and fry 

  • Add all powdered masalas and fry for a min

Add the boiled white peas

  • Simmer for 4-5 minutes 

  • Add tamarind paste/lemon juice

That’s it, your easy and delicious Matar is ready 

  • Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with Kulche
