CHICKEN CHEESE ROLLS

INGREDIENTS FOR DOUGH 

  • ½ cup milk, warm

  • 1tbsp caster sugar 

  • 1 ½ tsp instant yeast 

  • 1egg( whisked, keep some for glazing ) 

  • 2 cup maida 

  • ½ tsp salt 

  • 3 tbsp Oil

INSTRUCTIONS 

  • In a bowl add milk,caster sugar and yeast and  2 tbsp oil 

  • Add egg and maida. Whisk well for 4-5 mins until sticky dough is formed

Transfer dough to a clean working surface , add oil and stretch and knead the dough well for 6-7 mins

Grease with oil and allow to proof for one hour or until it doubles in size

INGREDIENTS FOR CHICKEN FILLING 

  • 2tbsp butter 

  • 2-3 tbsp Onion sliced

  • 2tbsp garlic , chopped

  • 2tbsp maida 

  • ⅓ cup milk 

  • 1chickwn cube 

  • ½ tsp black pepper powder

  • ½ tsp salt 

  • ½ tsp red chilli powder 

  • 1 tsp Chilli flakes 

  • ½ tsp onion powder 

  • ½ tsp garlic powder

  • ½ tsp cumin powder 

  • ½ tsp mixed herbs 

  • 1tbsp ketchup 

  • 1tbsp hot sauce 

  • 400 gms boiled chicken, shredded

  • 2-3 tbsp Boiled corn 

  • 1-2 tbsp coloured Capsicum( optional) sliced 

  • 2tbsp coriander leaves, chopped

  • Mozzarella Cheese 

  • White and black sesame seeds 

  • Egg wash 

  • Butter 

INSTRUCTIONS 

  • Heat up butter, oil 

  • Add onion,garlic and capsicum and sauté for a min

  • Add shredded chicken ,pepper,chicken cube,salt,chilli flakes,herbs,cumin powder

Add ketchup and chilli sauce 

  • Sauté 

  • Add maida and sauté well for 1-2 mins

Add milk and stir continuously until thickens

Add coriander leaves and mix well. let it cool

LETS MAKE THE ROLLS 

  • knead the dough again until smooth 

  • Divide dough into 8 -10 equal parts.

Roll into round balls and roll them out with a rolling pin

  • Add the prepared chicken filling

Add cheese

Now turn the sides, roll up and seal the ends

Repeat for all 8

Grease a baking pan with butter and place dinner rolls and cover and let it proof for another 20-25 mins

Apply egg wash and sprinkle with sesame seeds

Bake in preheated oven at 170 for 22-25  mins 

  • Take out , apply herb butter ( butter, garlic powder, mixed herbs) on top

Rest for 10 mins and serve
