INGREDIENTS:

1cup Sabut Masoor ( soaked)2 tsp fresh grated coconut1-2 green chilies1-2 large garlic cloves1inch ginger fresh coriander 1medium onion, grated1medium tomato, grated

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Pressure cook the soaked Akkha Masoor with little chopped onion, a pinch of turmeric and salt for one or two whistles only

  • Heat oil in a pan

  • Add bay leaves

  • Add grated onion 

  • Fry for few mins until onion turns golden brown

  • Add the coarsely ground coconut paste

  • Fry for 1 min

  • Add turmeric, chili powder, Kanda lasun masala, and salt

  • Fry for 1-2 mins

  • Add tomato 

  • Fry until oil separates  from sides of the pan

Add the cooked Masoor
  • Add the cooked Masoor
