MANGANE GANAPATI SPECIAL GOAN( Konkani )KHEER
This is a traditional Goan Kheer which is prepared especially during Ganesh festival and offered as Prasad
It is made of Chana dal, jaggery, sago, and coconut milk
INGREDIENTS:
1cup Chana dal, soaked and cooked until its soft but retaining shape
1cup jaggery
2-3 cups coconut milk
Few fresh coconut pieces
Few soaked cashew nuts
3-4 tbsp of sabudana, soaked
Cardamom powder
Nutmeg powder
Salt to taste
INSTRUCTIONS:
Mix everything in a pot
Turn on gas to low flame and simmer the kheer
Cook until mixture thickens
And that’s it, your easy and nutritious Mangane is ready to serve
